Cathy and Rob's charming winter wedding was a wonderful finale to a busy 2013 wedding season. Cathy and Rob tied the knot at Bennett Bunn Plantation, a spacious 165-acre venue in Zebulon, North Carolina complete with clydesdales and peacocks. Cathy made an impressive entrance with her father on a horse-drawn carriage. She and Rob then said their vows in front of family and friends on a beautiful pavilion overlooking the pond at sunset.
Cathy and Rob's wedding reception took place just across the pond at The Lodge, a cozy shelter with multiple fireplaces that created an intimate environment for the night. I had a blast photographing the wild dance moves as the evening progressed. A resident dog even joined in on the fun when guests picked him up and twirled him around the dance floor. Some of my favorite moments included a re-enactment of "the lift" from Dirty Dancing and some impromptu karaoke before Cathy and Rob made their exit.
Cathy and Rob, thank you so much or inviting me to be a part of your day. Your wedding was a memorable way to end the 2013 wedding season, and I appreciated how thoughtful you (and all of your guests!) were. My second shooter and I joked on several occasions throughout the day that we hardly felt like we were working because you made it so easy for us! You two are such genuine people and bring joy to everyone around you. I hope these photos are a testament to that!
